Step 3: Send a test email
Before saving or using your template in a campaign, send a test to yourself or a teammate to check how everything looks and functions.
Step 4 (optional): Choose or upload segment
If you'd like to immediately link the template to a specific audience, you can either select an existing segment or upload a custom file.
Once you are happy with the outcome, you can save your email template.

Good-to-know insights before you start
- If you're uploading a custom customer file, make sure the placeholders match the column headers in your file.
For example, if your file uses "first_name", be sure to use the {{first_name}} placeholder to ensure proper personalization. - If you are using an already created Segment, then personalization placeholder will be already there
- You have the option to preview how your email will appear on different devices—desktop, and mobile—before sending. This helps ensure your message looks great everywhere, improving engagement and making a stronger impression on your audience. It is located above text composing area
Advanced Layout Options & Editor Overview
Adding a Text Field
To add text to your email, simply drag the 'Text' block from the left into the email body area. The right side of the screen will then show options for editing the text content, such as formatting, fonts, size, alignment, and more.
Adding an Image
To insert an image, drag the 'Image' block into the layout. Images can be uploaded by pasting a direct link from an online source. Make sure the image link ends in the correct format (.jpg, .jpeg, .png, .gif, etc.), otherwise the image may not be displayed properly.
Adding a Button
To create a call-to-action, drag the 'Button' block into your template. Once added, you’ll see button formatting options on the right side — including text, color, size, alignment, and linking options.
Adding Social Media Icons
To add social media links, drag the 'Social' block into your layout. When you click the '+' to add a new icon, the system will duplicate the existing one instead of creating a blank field. Hover over the duplicated icon and click the trash can icon to delete it. You can then upload your own icon and update the content accordingly.
Divider, Spacer, and Wrapper Elements
Divider adds a horizontal line between sections. Spacer adds a small empty space. Wrapper creates a container into which you can insert other elements (e.g., text, image, button).
Using a Custom Background Image
If you want to use a custom background or image as a base layout, you can upload it manually or insert it using an image link from the web.
Creating Multi-Column Layouts
Below the Content panel, you will find an option to split the layout into multiple columns. Once you drag the desired number of columns into the layout, add elements like text, images, or buttons into each column. Use the arrows next to the column number to define the column layout.
FAQ:
Q: How do I link an email so it pops up automatically?
A:
Type the email you want to link, e.g.,
email@mail.com.Select the email text.
Go to the Link option and enter
mailto:email@mail.com. Just make sure that there is no space after ":".
Once linked, users can click the email and a new email window/tab will open automatically, ready to send—no need to copy and paste the address or open a separate window.
